About Injuries

In Photo Finish Live, your horse can be injured like in real life.

The good news is, it CANNOT die from its injury, and if you don’t run your horses when they’re “Recovering,” the risk is zero to pretty low.

Here’s the breakdown: If your horse is 2–3 years old and you wait the full 24 hours after it races, they cannot be injured. If your horse is four years old and you wait the full 24 hours, the risk of injury is very low.

If your horse is 5–8 years old and you wait the full 24 hours, there is a small but growing risk of injury.

Racing when not fully rested does not affect the horse’s performance on the track.

If a horse is injured, you have to pay a vet bill and then wait two additional days in order for it to be able to race again. Injuries do not affect the future performance of a horse.
