Hey everyone, it’s March 1st and we couldn’t be more excited to have our very first special event which will be an invite-only look at the interior of a “ Club Suite” today via Discord at 4PM ET!
We minted this project merely a few weeks ago and brought on our friends at 302 Interactive to help us out, but even with all the madness we are beyond pleased at the progress shown so far. Hopefully as you get to know our Third Time team over time you’ll see the difference in what experienced game developers bring to the table!
Closed Beta Test Details
Today, the structure is relatively simple. We are hosting a special Rocket League tournament for our community with some cool prizes on the line. While this is going on, we will open up a voice channel where the entire community can chat with the team.
- Our spectator stream of the Rocket League tournament will be streaming directly into the Suite
- Throughout the event we’ll be allowing folks in the voice chat to create an avatar and jump into our testing Suite — Sports Metaverse here you come!
- We will livestream the interior of the Suite back to the Discord so even if you don’t get to walk around and hang inside the Suite, you can see what’s going on in there. Is this Inception?
Our goal is to of course stress test the online connectivity and streaming functionality. This is a very early slice of a playable but there are surprises in store!
Preparing to enter The Suite
If you are interested in participating today, here’s a few tips:
- Create your own Avatar! Go to https://suites.readyplayer.me/
2. In the final step you can choose to Download your avatar URL — hit the “COPY” button to save the URL to your clipboard.
3. If you get a room invite to the Suite, choose to “Import” your avatar, and just paste (CTRL+V) the URL from above
4. Name your Avatar, Enter the Suite, and you’re ready to go!
Keep in mind this is our VERY FIRST TEST.
EXPECT THINGS TO BE BROKEN.
We’re going to try to just have a really fun time. If things go wrong, we’ll all roll with it and have a great time hanging out. And anyone here has a good chance of getting to see a little bit behind the scenes of how the sausage is made.
